Legian Beach Holidays
Located between the rockin’ sands of Kuta and the upscale enclaves of Seminyak, Legian Beach holidays are more subdued than Kuta and less costly than Seminyak. Here you’ll find plenty of great surfing, sunning, dining, and shopping all along the seaside sidewalk stretching from the Jayakarta Hotel to the Legian Beach Hotel. Lodgings of all luxury levels abound, from super-cheap family-owned guesthouses to little boutique hotels to lavish beachfront resorts.
Legian’s beaches, particularly the renowned Double Six Beach, are known for their great surf-breaks and white-hot nightlife. Some of Bali’s trendiest nightclubs fringe the Legian beaches, yet affordable accommodations abound, making it an idea budget holiday destination. The golden sands are bursting with activity day and night, from surfing classes to football to beach-side massages. Legian Street offers a lively maze of shops for your bargain hunting delight. For off-beach sightseeing, check out the Bali Museum, with four buildings of fascinating artifacts from prehistoric times to the present.
Legian lights up at sunset, when the sands come alive with tourists and locals alike enjoying the party, from cheap beers at beachfront bars to signature cocktails in glamorous celebrity hang-outs like the Double Six Club.
Cottages, bungalows, and resorts line the beach. For beachfront luxury, check out the Padma Resort Bali, the Legian Beach Hotel, or the Bali Niksoma Boutique Beach Resort. The nine lovely bungalows of the Surya Mas Villa provide charming lodgings at a very reasonable price. At the budget end of the scale, the Sayang Maha Mertha Hotel and the Sinar Bali Hotel offer cheap, comfortable lodgings near surf and sun.
